Farm Life - Summer At The Farm
Well our Summer has gone and the seasons on the farm seem to merge soo quickly.
Summer is a time on the farm when we see our crops grow, cut the wild meadow field for Hay and look forward to seeing Chicks or Ducklings hatch.
Our Kitchen Garden provided us with some lovely lettuces and herbs and strawberries for some of our cakes.
Our Farm Flowers, particularly our Dahlias, have decorated the Tea Barn every Sunday and are still flowering well as we enter into October.
Sunday's Farm Yard Tea Barn has had some great weather over the Summer and our Afternoon Tea's have been enjoyed by many, and thank you for all your lovely comments, we read them all and it keeps us going knowing that you all enjoy coming to Little Fant Farm.
Next years project is to develop our 'Pick Your Own Flowers' and add more flower beds, we quite like the idea of a 'Zoo' garden Bed, where all the flowers have names of animals, might have to forgo the Dande'Lion'!
So if you visit us over the winter months and small areas look a little dug up, watch that space!
We opened the farm for a week in the School Summer Holidays and made a farm trail for the children to take part in, and fed the Piggies, which was very well received and its great to see the children enjoying the farm.
We even got oursleves on TV!

We've watched our Pumkins get bigger and bigger and bigger! And are looking forward to Saturday 21st & Suday 22nd October where we will be holding PYO Pumpkins
Our Sunday Tea Barn will continue to be open throughout the Winter, weather permitting, with lots of warming farm made soups and puddings to look forward to. Our Afternoon Teas bookings will start again in the spring.
We say 'Goodbye' to Summer now and look forward to the changing landscape colours of the valley.
